When we face challenges, there are times when we tend to shy away from them.
You can overcome this negative response. When you are confronted with a situation that appears difficult to manage, self-limiting statements like, “I can’t do this or I give up, it’s too difficult,” will prevent you from moving forward.
A constructive alternative is to change your self-limiting statements into questions:
- “I can’t do this” becomes “How can I figure out how to do this?”
- “I give up; this is too difficult” becomes “What makes this so difficult?”
The questioning mindset readily allows you to search for solutions and promote a positive attitude for achievement.
